Announcing our new home

19 November 2024

On November 19th the Tasmanian Government announced the selection of Kingborough Twin Ovals as the site for the development of the Tasmania Football Club's T&A facility.

The Club's T&A facility will include identical facilities for our men and women, in a state-of-the-art facility that will be a key ingredient in attracting, building and retaining talent and delivering the level of performance that will be required for our Club to be successful. We are now incredibly focused on ensuring this facility delivers for all our stakeholders, including our athletes, off-field staff, students, partners and the broader community.

The site selection process has involved a lot of hard work that has been put in by a lot of people, we want to thank everyone for the effort and work that has gone in, we appreciate it greatly. The Club also want to acknowledge and thank both the Kingborough and Clarence Councils for their efforts and support to deliver the T&A Facility.

We also want to acknowledge the partners that we have worked alongside to understand the sites in greater detail, specifically those that will become our neighbours as our T&A home is developed at Kingston, the Kingborough Tigers Football Club and Kingborough Knights Cricket Club.

This announcement of the selected site is a significant step forward for our Club - we know how important T&A facilities are, not only for our Club, but also for the communities in which they are located.

We would like to genuinely and wholeheartedly thank all our members for their support of the Club and this project. We are energised to now move into detailed planning and construction, and of course to become operational.

We will keep members updated on the progress of the project through regular communications and content.

We will now focused on getting the design of the facility fit for purpose for our Club and of course incorporating every one of the nearly 205,000 Founding members names in that design.
