Introducing the Tasmania Academy of Leadership and Sport

We are proud to announce a groundbreaking partnership with TasTAFE (RTO 60142) and Tasmania's top sporting brands. Together, we're launching the Tasmania Academy of Leadership and Sport, a unified education program designed to nurture homegrown talent in sports administration and coaching. Our foundation partners for the program are Tasmania JackJumpers, Cricket Tasmania, and Netball Tasmania.

The Academy is a crucial component of our ongoing commitment to empowering communities - big and small - through education. We aim to foster a culture where learning is valued and accessible for all Tasmanians.

The Tasmania Devils are on an exciting journey towards first bounce in 2028. Although it may seem like a long time before our teams run through the banner, our Club is in on the cusp of rapid growth. Building and running a successful team starts with great people in various roles:

• Future club leadership

The Tasmania Academy of Leadership and Sport is a first of its kind in Australia. This tailored diploma level sport and leadership education program provides Tasmanians a platform to gain the skills, knowledge and experience to gain employment in the State’s growing sports sector. Key features include:

• Contextualised curriculum. Learn specific skills in the sports industry.
• Hands-on experience. Gain 100 hours of structured work placement within Tasmania's leading sports organisations.
• Comprehensive industry exposure. Experience all elements of the industry, including game development, sports administration, marketing, coaching and events.
• High-performance focus. Access regular sessions on athlete development, wellness, coaching and conditioning.

We believe that Tasmania's youth should not be constrained by geographical boundaries or preconceived notions of what's possible. Through the Tasmania Academy of Leadership & Sport (TALS), we're rewriting the narrative of our island's potential.
