Your Club Update October 2024

Last week we held our 13th Board meeting and our first ever Annual General Meeting in Hobart. Some of the major items we covered include:

• We are working with the AFL to establish our list build plan for AFLW and AFL. This piece of work is very important as we commence building our football department in 2025.
• We had an update on the launch and progress of our Tasmania Academy of Leadership and Sport following its recent launch, we are well on our way to being operational in early 2025. We are very enthused by the initial response to the Academy and encourage everyone to take a look at the Academy at www.tasacademy.com.au.
• We reviewed our fan engagement activities which is critical given the fact our member base continues to grow. We are thrilled with the engagement level we receive from our fans. We are now actively working on our plans for 2025.
• We discussed a range of other important governance matters as we continue to move our Club through its establishment phase, and pleasingly noted the good progress against all items in our business plan.

There has been a lot of discussion over recent times around the Club's Training and Administration Facility. The Club is continuing to work with Tasmanian Government and we are confident that an announcement for this important development is imminent. We thank everyone for their patience as we have worked through this really complex task, we have worked hard to take all of the information into account and be as prudent as possible in our decision making. We are so excited to get the location announced and commence the development, which will be such an important piece of infrastructure for our Club.
